A nice Sunday

Not a lot of pilots today, must all have gone to church for Easter Sunday.

However, Tony and Darcy turned up and assembled the latest Spitfire model.

There's a lot of stuff in there.

Darcy flew it brilliantly.

         Pesky retract broke on landing.

Those who came had a fine day for flying and enjoyed themselves.

 Cheers Geoff. 😎

IMAC Again

The IMAC team returned for competition yesterday, the weather was overcast and a bit breezy but it cleared up a bit in the afternoon, today was WINDY but they seemed to cope mostly.

Here's Will, having a go at his second competition event.

It was tough work for Will with a foamy in the strong breeze.

I love the firey decor

Team Wilson at work.

Results for our three competitors:

Basic: 1st Will   Spoprtsman: 3rd Tony   Intermediate: 1st Darcy

Well done those blokes.

I believe that everyone had a great time.

I reckon that they'll be back and that's OK by us.

 Cheers Geoff. 😎

Gliding Weekend

Starting Friday 26th, weather strong winds mainly westerly, so no flying, much camaraderie into the afternoon and I'm sure, into the night.

Saturday better, strongish wind from the west, but plenty of flying going on.
Here are some pictures to look at.

Get organised.

Tow plane ready

Hook up

Get soaring!

THAT is an EDF! 12S power rips this through the air.

Monitoring the local air band.

That little prop won't get that big glider anywhere.

OOOOOPPPss! My error, I take it back.

LUNCH

Ready for the off.
Fire up the tow plane

Talking about tow planes..........

Hmmmmmm, just a little risky methinks.

Electrics can do it, no problem.

Neat fold-away motor

Nice bit of engineering here

NOT a small model.

A lone heli.

TIME FOR ONE MORE!

Cheers, Geoff. 😎

Second Wednesday of '24

 Gorgeous weather today, good roll-up.

Garry bought out his Vampire, Marty brought out his Jet too, as well as a 'GLIDER'

Tweaking, making noise.

Nice throwing action.

Unfortunately, insufficient power, safely brought back to land by Garry.

"Needs more Nitro!" I heard mentioned a number of times.

I don't think there's any Nitro needed here.

Note the jet blast control.

A LOT of stuff in there. How about that nearly spherical fuel tank.

Lift off!

 Fabulous flyer.

Fast too.

Then a smooth landing.

Ken had his nifty EDF Vampire shredding the sky also.
A great time was had by all and looking forward to next fly day.

Cheers Geoff 😎
