Wednesday again

Charles readies his new model for a maiden flight.

It flies alright.

A really nice day for flying, 4 gliders in the air at one time, doesn't get much better.

Durafly Storch, looks very nice on ground and in the air.

Mid Year Social

Wednesday 22nd evening a most pleasant evening was had at the Retreat Hotel Nicholson. Brian did it again with the brain teasers for entertainment. Everyone had a good time.

Sunday

Swapping ideas.

Ian W chucking his Stampe all over the place.
Toms Fournier RF4 motor glider.

Good Flying

Kinda says it all really.
 Indoor 17 July.
 Not a big crowd.

 What's David up to?
Oh, this is what he's flying, good fun.
 This one flew well too.
 Ian preps his Tiger Moth.
Difficult to get off the floor, but flew quite well.
Rob flew his nifty bipe.
Ian has an interesting launch technique.
 Kevin and his Micro Stick.

Tom had many flights of his rubber-powered ultra-light.

Also time for a good chat.

It's a shame we don't get more participants to enjoy.

'Crisp' sunday

A 'crisp' morning indeed, but you can't keep a good R/c pilot away, particularly when a maiden flight is in order.
Ralph is no exception, his "DC3" did not go well at first attempt a few weeks ago, jammed ailerons was the diagnosis, this time they won't jam, Brian is seeing to that.

Tom was wearing out the undercart of this already long-lived model doing touch-and-go multiple repeats a lot.

Ron was in fine form.

Ralphs "DC3" gets off the deck, click for video.

Grey Wednesday

A very grey day but not TOO cold.

Plenty of time to chat between aviation sorties.

Ken dusted off this old model and spent some time persuading the engine to idle in a nice polite manner and hopefully therefore, desist in always wanting to keep up Kens deadstick skills.

I believe the beast was eventually tamed.

Ian spent quite a while cleaning combustion goo off his model so he could put it in his car.

Much aviating was committed and a good time was had by all.

Bunnings Saturday

SATURDAY 13 June we were sizzling again at Bunnings Bairnsdale Store

Some of the regulars hard at work.
After a very cold start to the day, the sun shone brightly and warmed us and plenty of locals to the extent that they emerged and came to purchase sausages and also various things from Bunnings as well.
I sincerely thank the volunteers who make these sizzle events happen.

Early afternoon came the presentation.
Tony Nazrallah, Bunnings community relations head presented the club with a nifty RYOBI Leaf Blower/Vac. which will come in mighty handy at the field for shifting loose debris from here to there.
Many thanks to Tony and Bunnings management for their generosity once again.
